DETAILED OVERVIEW

ITINERARY

Day 1

Departing the local area we make our way to Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its university and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, nowadays, the city is a bustling cosmopolitan town. Visit the towns many museums, galleries or do some last-minute Christmas shopping. We arrive at the 3* Charlecote Pheasant Hotel with time to settle in before dinner.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast we make our way to Blenheim Palace, home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. See the interior of the palace transformed for Christmas, visit the Churchill exhibition and take a stroll through the formal gardens. 2025 theme is The Palace of Oz - A magical tale of wizardry, witches, sparkling shoes and the power of friendship.
Inside the Palace, join us for an adventure through the State rooms at The Palace of Oz, inspired by L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, follow the road of yellow brick sprinkled with Christmas magic. Look out for Toto, The Tin Woodman, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, Witches, Munchkins and more, as you journey to the Land of Oz and discover the Emerald City where Dorothy awaits.
Please note we are including admission into Blenheim Palace during the day time and will not be visiting the light trail at Blenheim.

Day 3

Spend the morning in Stratford-upon-Avon, a market town with more than 800 years of history, containing not only many buildings that survive today and would have been familiar to Shakespeare, but also a thriving community offering a wide variety of attractions and shopping experiences. We return home mid-afternoon.
