Day 1
We depart the local area with stops on route for coffee and lunch before arriving at the Rosemundy House Hotel mid-afternoon, ready to settle in and get acquainted with the facilities at the hotel before dinner.
|Day 2
This morning, we take a drive to Falmouth where we join a river cruise to enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of Falmouth Bay. This afternoon is at leisure in Falmouth.
|Day 3
Today we visit the sub-tropical paradise of Trebah Garden. Discover the magic of this beautiful 26-acre Cornish valley garden, with over four miles of footpaths. Explore under canopies bursting with exotic blooms and follow vibrant tunnels of colour that cascade down to the secluded beach on the Helford River.
|Day 4
Today we have a day at leisure at the hotel in St Agnes.
|Day 5
Today we visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which just 30 years ago were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. A chance discovery of a door in the ruins led to the restoration of what is now considered to be one of the finest gardens in Cornwall. We return to the hotel via Mevagissey, an attractive old town which was once the centre of Cornwall's pilchard fishery and which still boasts a working harbour.
|Day 6
Today we drive to the charming seaside resort of St Ives. Best known for its artistic connections, the Tate Gallery looks after the Barbara Hepworth Museum and sculpture garden (admission at own cost).
|Day 7
After breakfast we will start the journey home, with breaks on route for coffee and lunch, arriving back in the local area early evening.
