We provide our customers with coaches to suit every need, occasion, and budget.
Our fleet ranges in size from mini to double-decker coaches offering comfortable, air-conditioned, safe, reliable, and modern vehicles as standard. Our executive coaches have extended leg-room and other facilities alongside an onboard washroom. We offer single and double-deckers with onboard wheelchair options and ultra-high floor coaches with capacious luggage storage, suitable for extended group tours.
Richmonds are members of the Guild Of British Coach Operators, The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), and the Coach Tourism Association (CTA) – all dedicated to providing customers with first-class service and high standards of safety and quality.
MINI COACH

Mini coaches are an elegant solution for smaller parties, especially if you wish to impress or celebrate an occasion. Shorter in length, they’re ideal for cities and country lanes and for accessing narrow entrances or tight turning areas. Our mini, luxury Mercedes-Benz with reclining black leather seats, carrying up to 19 passengers, is a sophisticated option.

MIDI COACH

Midi coaches are a perfect size for in and around cities such as London and Cambridge. Extremely comfortable with an onboard washroom and generous luggage capacity, they’re also ideal for airport transfers but if your group is on an extended trip, a larger Executive coach might be a better option to accommodate more luggage. Standard coaches offer the best value coach hire option. They are single-deck, high floor coaches (no internal wheel arches) with the same safety features and smooth experience you’d expect from our executive coach hire fleet, but without the added cost of an onboard toilet / washroom. Their capacious luggage storage means they’re ideal for airport transfers, schools and universities, shorter day trips and shuttle or commuter services.

EXECUTIVE COACH

Executive coaches enable you to transport larger groups for longer journeys in exceptional comfort. Each coach has an on-board toilet/washroom, hot and cold drinks facilities, extended legroom, plush reclining seats and extremely generous luggage storage. The 61-seater, super-high floor touring coaches can store 50% more luggage than executive or standard high floor coaches.

DOUBLE DECKER COACH

Our Executive double decker coaches are extremely comfortable, capacious and can be a pragmatic choice if you’re thinking of hiring two standard coaches but haven’t quite got the numbers. For additional convenience, they each have a toilet / washroom and hot drinks facilities. Some have tables, but all have folding tray-tables and large luggage holds. These coaches, subject to advance notice, can be configured to carry a wheelchair passenger.

The distinctive and roomy interior of our Service Shuttle buses provides a practical solution if you’re looking to run regular journeys between the train station and the office or between sites. These low access, lightweight vehicles are popular across both urban and inter-urban routes. They’re maneuverable, fuel-efficient, and provide a convenient and cost-effective transport option. Various size options are available allowing both seated and standing passengers.

CONTRACT TRAVEL SERVICES
PASSENGER SAFETY
Our emphasis on passenger safety entails significant investment in features such as reversing cameras, active brake assist, lane departure warning and breathalyser systems. Our coaches are maintained by our expert inhouse team and Vehicle Safety Inspections are carried out every 4 – 6 weeks, including rollerbrake testing. Drivers carry out digital safety walk-round checks prior to each journey.
EXEMPLARY DRIVERS
We focus on safety and great customer service. Our driver training programme ensures that our customers feel well looked after and always experience a well planned, calm and enjoyable journey. Our drivers are smartly turned out in full uniform and have enhanced DBS checks.
ACCESSIBILITY & WHEELCHAIRS
We have range of vehicles suitable for passengers with disabilities. Some coaches can take wheelchairs on board (via a lift or ramp) whilst others can take wheelchairs or small mobility scooters in the hold. For further information see Accessibility on our coaches.
LOW EMISSION COACHES
Our coaches can travel into London’s ‘Lower Emission Zone’ without additional charges because most are Euro 6 compliant. All have special climate control systems enabling the coach interior to be warmed and cooled without running the engines – this keeps emissions and noise levels low. Sophisticated telematics monitor driver behaviour and fuel efficiency which helps to reduce our carbon footprint.
