We depart the local area and with a lunch stop on route arrive at the 4* Parkway Hotel & Spa in time for dinner.
|Fri 30 September
Today we are joined by a local tour guide for a "Pit to Port" coach tour. As we travel towards the Rhondda Valley we hear the fascinating stories of when 'coal was king' in the area and will see how nature has regained her land. We will then travel over the mountain pass before dropping down into the Afan Valley, stopping in Swansea for lunch. After lunch we take a scenic route via the Vale of Glamorgan before heading back to the hotel.

This morning we visit the historic town of Abergavenny on market day before travelling to Brecon to board a Dragonfly cruise along the Monmouth & Brecon canal. We take a drive through the picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park on our return to the hotel.
|Sun 2 October
This morning we journey through more than 1,100 years of history with The Royal Mint Experience. Explore the fascinating coin-making process - from preparing blank metal discs to striking the coins. This afternoon we visit St Fagans Museum, named for the magnificent Castle and gardens in which it stands. Gain an insight into the rich heritage and culture of Wales and the Welsh language can be heard in daily use amongst craftsmen and interpreters.

After breakfast we return home with a lunch stop on route arriving back late afternoon.
