ITINERARY

Day 1

We depart the local area and, with a lunch stop on route, arrive at the 4* Tynedale Hotel in time for dinner. The hotel is centrally located on Llandudno's iconic Victorian promenade, just 20 metres from the beach and a short walk from the high street and the town's well-preserved pier.

Day 2

This morning, we travel over the Menai Strait to the Isle of Anglesey, we start the day with a visit to Beaumaris with its medieval castle, lovely beach, and Victorian pier. This afternoon we visit Plas Newydd House & Gardens (NT), a Grade I-listed house and garden on the banks of the Menai Strait. With the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) as a dramatic backdrop, enjoy the 40 acres of peaceful garden and 129 acres of woodland and parkland. There is plenty of space to relax and explore, with gently sloping lawns, towering trees, and beautiful borders to discover, while the comfortable house contains an unusual mix of military history, theatre, and art.

Day 3

Enjoy the day at leisure in Llandudno, unlike most seaside resorts, it has remained largely unchanged for over a century. Stroll along the elegant promenade, with its pastel-coloured hotels and Victorian architecture, or walk along the longest pier in Wales. Why not enjoy a ride to the top of the Great Orme on the beautifully restored tram which climbs to 1500m. The views from the summit are breath-taking - from Snowdonia and Anglesey, all the way to the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District.

Day 4

Today we depart for a scenic tour of Snowdonia. Picturesque Snowdonia is the largest national park in Wales and home to the tallest mountain in Wales. We visit picturesque Betws-Y-Coed and journey along Llanberis Lake.

Day 5

After breakfast we return home with a lunch stop on route, arriving back late afternoon.
