Day 1
We depart the local area and make our way to Sandringham House & Gardens, the much-loved country retreat of His Majesty The King, and has been the private home of British monarchs since 1862. We arrive at the 4* Dunston Hall Hotel mid-afternoon, with time to settle in before dinner.
Day 2
After a leisurely breakfast we make our way to Holt where we board the North Norfolk Railway, fondly known as the Poppy Line. Journey through the county's most stunning coastal scenery to the Victorian resort town of Sheringham. The railways in 1887 turned Sheringham into a popular destination for visitors from far and wide. There is a Blue Flag beach and a scenic promenade, which houses a row of colourful beach huts. In the town, you will find pubs, cafes, tea rooms, museums and even a theatre.
|Day 3
Today we make our way to Morston Quay, where we board a boat trip to Blakeney Point to see the Seals. The seal colony at Blakeney Point has between 500 to 800 seals which stay there all year round. The seals move up with the incoming tide on to the end of Blakeney Point where you are able to see them at very close quarters from the boat.
|Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast we head to Norfolk's capital city Norwich. The City of Stories is one of the most beautiful cities in Britain. Unearth its hidden gems: iconic buildings, cosy pubs, attractions and must-visit locations including 32 medieval churches, 2 cathedrals and a Norman castle. High street stores, designer brands, independent shops and quirky goods are all on offer in this city, listed as one of the top 10 places to shop in the UK.
|Day 5
We depart our hotel and travel to Horning where we board The Mississippi Paddle Boat & enjoy a cruise along the Norfolk Broads. The boat is a luxury river cruiser which runs from the beautiful village of Horning, along the River Bure, passing lovely old thatched houses, windmills and Norfolk reed beds. On our return we stop in Bury St Edmunds for free time for lunch before arriving back home mid-afternoon.
