We depart the local area and make a stop for lunch before arriving at the 4* Mercure Albrighton Hall mid-afternoon, ready to settle in and get acquainted with the facilities on site.
|Day 2
Today we visit Shrewsbury, one of England's finest medieval market towns, with over 600 listed buildings and many black & white half-timbered Tudor buildings. Sit back and relax on a cruise along the River Severn loop, before exploring this lovely town, which was the birthplace of Charles Darwin.
|Day 3
Today we visit the Blists Hill Victorian Town Museum where you will experience what life was like when Britain ruled the world. Meet some (almost) real Victorians in their authentic shops and cottages, buy curious goods from a bygone era and watch tradespeople in action in their atmospheric workshops and factories.
|Day 4
This morning, we board our horse drawn boat for a cruise along the Llangollen Canal. This afternoon we join the Llangollen Railway for a trip beside the River Dee, through countryside classified as Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
