Yorkshire Wildlife Park Illuminations
Go wild for the Hex Hotel, located within Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We make the most of our base on this tour with a full day spent at the on-site Yorkshire Wildlife Park – home to England’s only polar bears. We include a whole day to explore the Wildlife Park, we visit both Leeds and Sheffield for Christmas shopping, and explore the park after dark to enjoy the festive magic of over 3km of Lights and Lanterns on the Illuminations trail. Day 1
We depart the local area with a lunch stop on route, before arriving at The Hex Hotel mid-afternoon.
|Day 2
We spend the day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, wander out of your room and explore all the park has to offer. There are a whole host of animals including Polar Bears, Giraffes, and Rhinos. The Hive complex where the hotel is located also has numerous independent shops and boutique stores.
|Day 3
Today we visit Leeds for some Christmas shopping, High Street names stake their claim beneath the iconic glass roof of Trinity Leeds, where 120 shops, bars and restaurants are abuzz seven days a week. Or there is the unique atmosphere of Grade I listed Kirkgate Market, where Michael Marks of Marks and Spencer first plied his trade. Designer devotees will find their fix in the splendour of Victoria Leeds, or across the bustling floors of Harvey Nichols. And not to forget Leeds' fierce independent spirit. Makers and creators abound, from the beautifully restored Corn Exchange, to the stunning Victorian arcades that tempt visitors away from busy Briggate. Christmas Market dates TBC.
|Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast we make our way to Sheffield, where you can spend the morning exploring the vibrant city or if you prefer you can visit the Meadowhall shopping centre for some last-minute Christmas gifts. We return to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park for the Winter Illuminations - Light and Lantern Festival 2025 theme TBC.
|Day 5
After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way south with a stop on route in Stamford for the Friday markets, before returning home mid-afternoon.
