Althorp House The childhood home of Diana, Princess of Wales, Althorp has been the home of the Spencer family for five centuries. Explore this magnificent House, discovering its beautiful interiors and one of Europe's finest private collections of furniture, paintings, and ceramics. In the Stables block, built by Roger Morris in 1733 in the Anglo-Palladian style, enjoy refreshments in the Stables Café. Enjoy a walk through the grounds at Althorp, where the natural beauty is truly captivating. The park provides a peaceful sanctuary for a diverse array of wildlife and plants. To explore the ground to the Princess of Wales Memorial at the oval takes approximately 30-minutes from the car park. Start with a relaxing walk down a tree lined avenue to the house, enjoy the remodelled gardens and perhaps take the opportunity to reflect in the peaceful surroundings of the poignant Round Oval.
Explore nineteen rooms in the House, including some of the Spencer Family's private apartments. Discover magnificent interiors and one of Europe's finest private collections of furniture, paintings and photographs and ceramics - the result of one family's uninterrupted occupation for over 500 years.
Picnic in glorious surroundings in the grounds or enjoy excellent food and drink at reasonable prices in Althorp's Café. Finally, browse through the carefully chosen mementoes in the Althorp Visitor Shop.
