ITINERARY

Day 1

We depart the local area and head south for a truly special visit to the magnificent Bowood House & Gardens in Wiltshire. Steeped in over 250 years of history, Bowood has been the cherished home of the Lansdowne family since 1754, and its grounds are nothing short of breathtaking. Wander through sweeping parkland designed by the great 'Capability' Brown, explore an impressive Arboretum of champion trees, and lose yourself in the four-acre secret walled garden, a hidden gem of meticulously crafted flower beds and glorious seasonal blooms. Visit in early July and you may be lucky enough to catch the spectacular tail end of the rose season in all its glory. We continue south to our hotel for the night, the 4-star Lodge at Bristol, part of the prestigious Thwaites hotel group. Tucked within the grounds of the Aztec Hotel, guests enjoy dinner and breakfast in the Aztec's elegant restaurant and full use of its excellent leisure facilities, the perfect setting to relax after a wonderful day in the gardens.
