Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mesmerising score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breath taking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life. The musical first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles. Since then Phantom of the Opera has gone on to become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time, winning 70 major theatre awards and been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.
