DETAILED OVERVIEW
ITINERARY
Day 1
We depart the local area and make a stop for lunch before arriving at The 4* Mercure Bournemouth Queen's Hotel mid-afternoon, ready to settle in and get acquainted with the facilities on site.
|Day 2
Today we travel along the coast to the pretty harbour town of Poole, famous for its pottery, where we enjoy a heated festive harbour cruise. Enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie as you set off around Europe's largest natural harbour. Cruising closely to Brownsea Island, Sandbanks and the beautiful beaches surrounding the island. With live commentary from the captain, you're guaranteed to not miss a thing.
|Day 3
Today we enjoy a day at leisure in Bournemouth. Visit the Christmas Market where you will find your favourite festive foods & local craftsmen answering all your Christmas shopping needs. Experience the magical spectacle of the Christmas Tree Wonderland, with over 100 glittering trees and illuminations lighting your path from the Market all the way down to the seafront.
|Day 4
Today we visit Kingston Lacy (NT), a lavish family home built to resemble an Italian Palace. There's plenty to see from grand, beautifully detailed carvings, to intimate family souvenirs and even strange curiosities such as an 'I owe you' note from a king. The house will be dressed for Christmas (theme to be announced)
|Day 5
We depart the hotel after a leisurely breakfast and make our way to the Winchester Christmas Market. The pretty wooden chalets are situated in the Cathedral's historic Close surrounding an open-air real ice rink. All the exhibitors have been hand-picked for their interesting, high quality and unique products, many of which can't be bought on the high street. We return home mid-afternoon.
