A day at your leisure by the sea Sheringham is a traditional seaside town with an award winning family friendly beach, heritage steam railway, shops selling local produce, fantastic coastal and countryside walks, making Sheringham an excellent place to visit in north Norfolk. Originally a small North Norfolk fishing village the arrival of the railways in 1887 turned Sheringham into a popular destination for visitors from far and wide. The Blue Flag beach is family friendly and has scenic walks along the promenade, which houses a row of colourful beach huts. In the town, you will find pubs, cafes, tea rooms, museums and a theatre. In the centre of Sheringham is the town clock, built on the site of an 1862 water well. The 1940's weekend celebrated on the railway and in the town is on the weekend of 20 & 21 September 2025 Drop off point is the Railway Station Coach Park.
