The ever-popular Shakespeare Express runs from Stratford-upon-Avon at express speeds of up to 75 mph via Solihull non-stop to Birmingham Moor Street. Unlike preserved railways, The Shakespeare Express thunders along the modern railway network at speeds up to 75mph. If you have only experienced steam trains on preserved railways at much slower speeds, then you are missing out on the authenticity of the sights, sounds and smell of the mainline steam experience. An immaculate steam locomotive will pull the train of traditional chocolate & cream rail carriages, all restored authentically to their former glory. Through the carriage windows you will see an ever changing landscape from Birmingham's fascinating industrial past to Warwickshire's beautiful countryside with its working farms, stylish villages and stations, plus glimpses of waterways and other features that make up Shakespeare's County. Pullman Class on The Shakespeare Express offers a wonderful vintage journey in beautiful first-class carriages. Built under the world-famous Pullman name for stylish rail travel, a journey in these coaches offers an experience to remember.
