DETAILED OVERVIEW

ITINERARY

Day 1

Departing the local area we will make suitable stops on route arriving at The Headland Hotel, a highly rated 3* hotel situated above Torquay, with views out across the sea and private gardens.

Day 2

This morning we visit the seaside town of Teignmouth with its Victorian Pier. The Georgian high street is perfect for a bit of retail therapy. The town beach is a long expanse of sand with the pier, arcades and promenade, whereas the river beach is full of beautiful fishing boats and has a wonderful quaint village feel. This afternoon we visit Kents Cavern, a spectacular natural cave on the coast of south Devon, England with an incredible history that began 400 million years ago. The cave was used by Britain's first humans including Neanderthals. Remains of mammoth, woolly rhino and cave bears are found here.

Day 3

A free day to spend in Torquay at your leisure.

Day 4

This morning we head to Brixham, with time to explore the small fishing village before returning to Torquay for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 5

Today we travel by coach to Paignton where we board the Dartmouth Steam Railway to Kingswear. Crossing the River Dart by passenger ferry we have time to visit Dartmouth before boarding a boat to enjoy a relaxing cruise through the picturesque Dart Valley. Wildlife abounds in the estuary and you may be lucky enough to see dolphins, seals, herons, egrets, buzzards and kingfishers if you're quick enough! Our cruise concludes at Totnes where our coach will meet us for the return to Torquay.

Day 6

After breakfast we commence our journey home with suitable stops on route arriving back late afternoon/early evening.
