DETAILED OVERVIEW
ITINERARY
Day 1
Departing the local area, we will make suitable stops on route before arriving at The Headland Hotel, a highly rated 3* hotel situated above Torquay, with views out across the sea and private gardens.
|Day 2
Today we make our way to Plymouth, why not visit the Mayflower Museum, Plymouth Gin Distillery, Hoe Park or the National Marine Aquarium. The annual Christmas market in the heart of the city centre is the perfect place to pick up some individual and unique Christmas gifts.
|Day 3
A free day to spend in Torquay at your leisure.
|Day 4
Enjoy the morning at leisure. This afternoon we board the Dartmouth Steam Railway's train of lights. Enjoy a festive illuminated journey onboard the steam train with vintage carriages - decorated with thousands of lights, both inside and out. Journey through the enchanted forest which will be transformed by a multitude of lights. The stunning show ends as you leave the forest only to be greeted by the twinkling lights of Dartmouth reflected on the river Dart. After a turnaround at Kingswear and with the opportunity to disembark and take photographs from the platform, you will be on your way back to Paignton to experience the spectacle from a different direction.
|Day 5
Today we visit Exeter where the Christmas market takes place on Cathedral Green. Around 90 wooden chalets will be selling a wide range of Christmas crafts, gifts, festive food and drink.
|Day 6
After breakfast we commence our journey home with suitable stops on route arriving back late afternoon/early evening.
