ITINERARY

Day 1

We depart the local area and make our way north to Newark, the quintessential English market town. Home to the National Civil War Centre, a stunning riverside Castle dating back to the early 12th Century, Air Museum and a thriving, cobbled Market Place overlooked by its Georgian Town Hall, Newark offers an experience of English history through the ages alongside a tempting array of antique shops, cafés, boutiques, eateries and historic pubs. We arrive at the 3* Best Western Craiglands Hotel with time to settle in before dinner.

Day 2

This morning we head North for our guided coach tour of the Yorkshire Dales national park. Stopping off at the market town of Skipton; the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, with its famous 900-year-old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street, Skipton is endlessly rich both in history and outstanding natural beauty. We continue our guided tour heading into the heart of the dales, passing through Grassington & Patley Bridge.

Day 3

After a leisurely breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way to Harrogate. Born through a boom in Spa tourism during the Victorian 1800s, Harrogate quickly developed a reputation for luxurious getaways for body and soul. Modern day Harrogate is the go-to destination for relaxation and indulgence, synonymous with quality shopping and afternoon tea. We arrive home late afternoon.
